Medellin is becoming more and more popular as a tourist destination over the past few years and it's no wonder why! The city has a fabulous warm climate nearly year-round, some of the finest museums, parks and architecture that Colombia has to offer and a convenient and easy-to use public transportation system.
One of the coolest things to do in Medellin is to check out the bird's-eye view of the city from the Teléferico (cable car). Although you way have to wait in line for a while, the stunning views are well worth it and the ride is included in your metro ticket.
Other noteworthy sights to check out in Medellin include the Botero Museum, where you can take in impressive pre-Colombian collections as well as modern works by Colombian artists, Pablo Escobar's grave, the resting place of the infamous drug-runner, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, an enormous structure that you just have to see. If you have a few days in Medellin, take a day trip to one of the nearby colonial towns such as Santa Fe de Antioquia or Llano Grande.
